Wendie qualified as a DVSA-approved Driving Instructor in 2007 and set up the London-based driving school ‘Bee Free Driving School’. Over the years Wendie has built up a reputation as a professional and patient Instructor supporting hundreds of drivers to develop safer driving skills. Wendie has been involved in various road safety initiatives including assessing and training the Volunteer Drivers for the London 2012 Olympics.

Over the last few years, Wendie has  gained her PCV licence (bus and coach), been a London bus driver, worked as a Trainer for one of the largest Transport Operators in Europe as well as been a Training and Development Officer for the largest Apprenticeship provider in the UK. Wendie is currently delivering Fleet driver training as part of the Driving Academy programme at Bushy Park, Barbados.

To pass the UK Theory test, learners need to pass a 2-part Theory test which consists of a 50 question Multiple Choice test (pass mark 43/50) and a Hazard Perception test (pass mark 44/75).

The pass rate for this test is low, according to the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency ( DVSA) who set the tests, statistics for 2022-2023 with over 2 millon theory tests taken was only a 44% pass rate.

Having identified the increasing need to support drivers to pass their theory tests, Wendie has now established herself as a Car/PCV Theory Coach delivering Online 1-2-1 coaching sessions.

Wendie is a qualified TEFL teacher and has a Level 3 award in training and education, she has a passion for teaching and adopts a client-centered approach, she has experience teaching learners with different learning styles, backgrounds, abilities and those who have English as a 2nd language.
